Dear Diary: Confessions From A Blogger (19) Hello my lovelies!

 

We all know what goes on behind the scenes at our own blogs but rarely do we lift the curtain and share those experiences with others. Dear Diary: Confessions From A Blogger stems from the curiosity. This week I just wanted to take a moment and touch base with all of you.

Here is my confession:  Hello, my lovelies! I feel like it has been awhile since I've touched base with all of you so I wanted to take this opportunity to do so. Summer is officially over which means I'll no longer be tempted to spend my day outside in the sun swimming and less inside reading. I really feel as if I slacked off in August but that's already changed now that it is September! Speaking of September if you haven't checked out my 1000 Followers Giveaways you should do so! I know the Giveaway is a bit late since I hit 1000 in late July/early August but I wanted to make sure that I had the funds to really spread the prize love with as many of you as possible.  As for books this Month I have quite the pile to get through so hopefully I'll be back to posting 3-4 reviews per week. I also will be attending a signing in later September when Al Yankovic comes round to sign his book My New Teacher and Me. Yes, I know it is a children's book but I really, really want to meet him and this might be my only shot for a good long while to do so. On the upside I'll probably purchase a second copy to give away on the blog. I know lots of you have littler kids than I do so this might be perfect to share with them!  Let's see what else.....Oo... I was thinking of starting a new feature on the blog. I had great success with my Books vs. Movie Giveaway and it sparked the idea of doing a Monthly movie club. Of course the movies we'd watch will be Books turned film since this is primarily a book blog after all!  I also think it would be great to see how different people react to a book adaptation on the big screen. Like I said, it's just an idea at the moment but if I do decide to do it I'll be starting it in October! I guess that is really pretty much all for now. I'll be heading to the bookstore tomorrow to buy some belated Birthday presents for myself. I have my eye on a few series including The Hallowed Ones, The Ashes Trilogy, Night School, The Walking Dead Compendiums and about 100 others that I need 2nd or 3rd books in lol. I'd also really like the full set of new Harry Potter covers. We'll see how it goes though. Either they'll have a bunch of the books I want or I'll come away sorely disappointed and end up buying from Amazon. Anyway that's pretty much all for now.
